El Espartano

Casa FOA Chile

El Espartano has landed in Chile in order to take part in the third edition of Casa FOA Chile, the Argentine-born exhibition now held in Chilean soil. Together with 10 specially selected Argentine brands, El Espartano’s rugs and carpets have covered the floors of the space designed by architect Ricardo Bagnara. The products chosen are the Agata rug and the Alexa Minka carpet.

Ricardo Bagnara, winner of Casa FOA Second Prize (2017) in Architecture and Interior Design for his “The Wooden Walk-In Closet” décor, designed, in this opportunity, a large space to relax and enjoy recreational activities.

When the time came to choose the rugs, the architect invited El Espartano to participate in the project and selected the Hexagon design of our exclusive collection of virgin wool carpets, Alexa “Minka” for the dining-room area, and for the living room a moquette from our Agata line characterized by a luxurious velvet-like texture of great resistance.

Argentine design: creativity, quality and art de vivre

The proposal of the Argentine group is to create a comprehensive space with a playroom format where products from different companies with strong identities cohabitate and intermingle with a contemporary, lively, thriving, friendly, cheerful and playful design which becomes part of society. It combines industrial tradition with inventiveness and the cosmopolitan freshness which forged its culture: productive innovation as a game.

Other companies taking part in the exhibition are Traum, Chez by Federico Churba, Amazónica, Sarmiento, Rafias, La Feliz, Agave and Sofía Willemoës.

More about Casa Foa en Chile

After 30 years of holding its exhibition in Argentina, Casa FOA has extended its boundaries and launched Casa FOA Chile. For this important event, Casa FOA and Revista ED have forged an alliance to hold the best Chilean deco exhibition where work and the latest innovations from architects, decorators, designers, landscapers, universities and companies come together in harmony.

This exhibition born in Argentina is an original and different opportunity for renowned and emerging talents from the design, interior decoration, architecture, landscaping and art fields to mix their opposing styles: the colonial one on the one side and the industrial on the other.

In this way, a lounge cafeteria, a quincho, a bar, kids’ spaces, and even a 12m2 representation of a miniature house, will be part of the different installations which will take part in the 2018 edition of Casa FOA Chile. Moreover, visitors will be able to participate in property tours, workshops and several cultural family activities to fill the house with life and generate a space for reflection on the role played by interior spaces and landscape design in the sense of wellbeing.

The exhibition opened its doors on August 10 at Centro Cultural Montecarmelo (Bellavista 594, Providencia, Santiago de Chile) and shall remain open to the public till September 9.
